"The Silver Soul was to see countless hours of work in the Texas heat, designs and design changes, hundreds of hardware store runs, plan revisions, carpentry lessons, and of course, blood, sweat, and tears."
The idea for the Silver Soul came in early 2011 as Molly began looking for a Dallas storefront. The shop was to double as a studio, where one could walk in and be truly immersed in her process. While browsing stunning pieces, everything including concept, design, carving, casting, polishing, and stone setting was to be on display. Unable to find a satisfactory location to set up shop, and ever a wanderer, she came up with the idea of buying a trailer and converting it into her traveling workspace and store.
Molly began to research travel trailers, restoration, and what seemed like a million other things we knew nothing about at the time. She immediately began looking around Dallas and some surrounding areas for a "fixer upper." One day while browsing ads in East Texas, she found it!
She decided to get to work immediately. her budget didn't allow the hiring out of a crew to renovate the trailer, but Molly didn't mind rolling up her sleeves. The journey was officially underway, but its full realization would take longer than expected. The Silver Soul was to see countless hours of work in the Texas heat, tracking down vintage airstream parts and windows, designs and design changes, hundreds of hardware store runs, plan revisions, carpentry lessons, and of course, blood, sweat, and tears. Now, finally, she hits the road. Welcome to The Silver Soul.
